Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Posts are permanently archived following a strict schedule:
Weekly recurring event galleries are archived following 4 weeks of their current round.
Monthly recurring event galleries are archived following 120 days of their current round.
Annual events and special events will be archived at 60 days past the event closure date.
Advertisement paid by other brands or third party in our site are archived 60 days past the event closure date.

We don’t charge you to view our event gallery, in-world landmarks or the other products and services covered by these Terms. Instead, businesses and organizations pay us to link ads on our website and media accounts that directs consumers to visit their In-world store in SecondLife.com for their products and services. By using our Products and Services, you agree that we can display your uploaded ads to other media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Flickr etc.. solely for the use of directing consumers to visit your store location. All respecting their individual corresponding terms of service and regulations.
We don’t sell your personal data to advertisers, and we don’t share information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address or other contact information) with advertisers unless you give us specific permission.
Permissions you give us
We need certain permissions from you to provide our services:
- Permission to use content you create and share: Some content that you share or upload, such as photos or videos, may be protected by intellectual property laws.
- You own the intellectual property rights (things like copyright or trademarks) in any such content that you create upload and share on Hotweekendsale.com. Nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have to your own content. You are free to share your content with anyone else, wherever you want.
- However, to provide our services we need you to give us some legal permissions (known as a ‘license’) to use this content. This is solely for the purposes of providing and improving our Products and services as described in our Term of Services Section above.
- Specifically, when you share, post, or upload content that is covered by intellectual property rights on or in connection with our Products, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content. This means, for example, that if you share a photo on Hot Weekend Sale through our admin upload section, you give us permission to store, copy, and share it with others such as service providers that support our service or other Hot Weekend Sale Products you use. This license will end when your content is deleted from our systems.
- You can have content deleted/changed by contacting a support staff member with the location in our site or platforms we provide services in.
- You may delete your account at any time without any refunds by going to your account admin settings.
- When you delete content or account, it’s no longer visible to other users, however it may continue to exist elsewhere on our systems where:
- immediate deletion is not possible due to technical limitations (in which case, your content will be deleted within a maximum of 90 days from when you delete it if you have contacted our staff to delete them);
- your content has been used by others in accordance with this license and they have not deleted it (in which case this license will continue to apply until that content is deleted); or
- where immediate deletion would restrict our ability to:
- investigate or identify illegal activity or violations of our terms and policies (for example, to identify or investigate misuse of our Products or systems);
- comply with a legal obligation, such as the preservation of evidence; or
- comply with a request of a judicial or administrative authority, law enforcement or a government agency;
- in which case, the content will be retained for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it has been retained (the exact duration will vary on a case-by-case basis).
- In each of the above cases, this license will continue until the content has been fully deleted.
Permission to use your name, profile picture, and information about your actions with ads and sponsored content: You give us permission to use your store name or brand, logo and information next to or in connection with ads, offers, and other sponsored content that we display across our sites and media pages.
Limits on using our intellectual property
If you use content covered by intellectual property rights that we have and make available in our Products (for example, images, designs, videos, or sounds we provide that you add to content you create or share in your store or media services), we retain all rights to that content (but not yours). You can only use our copyrights or trademarks (or any similar marks) as expressly permitted by us or to advertise our Hot Weekend Sale event with our prior written permission. You must have been accepted and continue to be part of our designer list or obtain our written permission to use.
Acceptance
To become a Hot Weekend Sale Designer, you must have an inworld main store, be a stable and established brand. Be active and have products that are of high quality, then you may fill out an application.
There are no guarantee that you will be accepted as an official Hot Weekend Sale Designer by simply filling out the application, we do choose our designers carefully to provide our shoppers with the best quality and products on the grid.
If accepted, you will receive an email or inworld notifications by the name provided by you with info on how to access our event designer portal and or submit the product you would like to place on our sale. A confirmation of email and password reset link will be sent to you via email.
When you apply to be a Hot Weekend Sale Designer you are asked if you would like to be considered for a Sponsor spot. It is not a guarantee that you will be given a Sponsor spot simply by filing out the form. Sponsors are by invitation only.
Advertisements and add ons
Paid advertisements, Features, Banners and Sidebars are non-refundable and must be paid to the tier box at our office no more than 36 hours after notified of accepted in order to be posted. Considerations for our extra add-ons and features are based upon the availability of our staff please allow a minimum of four to six weeks advance notice when applying for add-ons. All reasonable attempts are made to publish paid add-ons with in 36 hours after payment sent to Hotweekend.resident .
For Sidebar advertisement if box is expired more than 24 hours and staff has not been notified and replied to, we will remove your logo box and remove displayed ad.
Promotional Offers
We may from time to time offer special promotional offers, prices or plans. Offer eligibility is determined by Hotweekend.resident and Michi.Boo at its sole discretion and we reserve the right to revoke an Offer and put your account on hold in the event that we determine you are not eligible. The eligibility requirements and other limitations and conditions will be disclosed when you sign-up or in other communications made available to you.
Billing, Payment and Cancellation
Payments must be made via the in-world terminal at the Hot Weekend event home sim http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Byanspire/91/177/3102 per Store/Brand if unable to use the portal because of grid status or server related issues payments must only be made to Hotweekend.resident or paid to our atm in our office unless stated otherwise by Hotweekend.resident or its CEO Michi.Boo only.
You must have enough credit on your account to enter a round or pay sponsor spot if you have been accepted to be a sponsor before signing up to be a designer on the round. If you own more than one Store/Brand payments for each store must be made separate meaning one payment per Store/Brand.
We reserve the right to change our Regular Event Fee and Sponsor Fees or adjust pricing for our service or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion. Except as otherwise expressly provided for in these Policy, any price changes or changes to the event fee will be displayed at the Designer round Sign up page.
No Refunds. Payments are nonrefundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods, personal reasons and not being able to res on time or forgetting to res. You may contact a staff member if you think that you will not be able to make the event deadline no later than 24hours to the event deadline, however this does not imply nor confirm that you will be refunded but simply to let us know that you will be absent or late. At any time, and for any reason, we may provide a refund, discount, or other consideration to some or all of our members (“credits”). The amount and form of such credits, and the decision to provide them, are at our sole and absolute discretion. The provision of credits in one instance does not entitle you to credits in the future for similar instances, nor does it obligate us to provide credits in the future, under any circumstance.
